Gelişim Medical Laboratories
Gelisim Medical Laboratories was established in 1993 in Bağdat Street, Kızıltoprak (Kadıköy), Istanbul and was founded by Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology Specialist Prof.Dr. Paşa Göktaş and Biochemistry Specialist Assoc. Dr. Mustafa Gültepe.
Our laboratory started to participate in international external quality controls since 1994, just one year after laboratory establishment.
Currently, we participate in 5 different external quality control programs with around 200 parameters. Our laboratoty is one of the first few laboratories from Turkey which participates in international external quality control programs.
In 2001, We received the ISO 9000 Quality System Certificate from TSE. Our laborotory is one of the two medical laboratories in Turkey to receive this document first.
In 2011, our laboratory applied to TÜRKAK with the initiation of medical laboratory accreditation by TÜRKAK in Turkey, and our laboratory was accredited by TÜRKAK in 2011. TÜRKAK accreditation number is TL-0003.
Branches were opened outside the center to meet the demands and needs of patients. The first laboratory branch opened is Kadıköy Gelişim (at the entrance of Altınyol Bahariye Str.). Then, Şaşkınbakkal Gelişim was opened in Şaşkınbakkal Dörtyol locality on Bağdat Street. In the following period, Haseki Gelişim was opened on Millet Caddesi in Haseki, Göztepe Gelişim was opened opposite Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, and Nişantaşı Development was opened on Nişantaşı Valikonağı Street. Currently, Gelişim Medical Laboratories continues its activities in 7 different regions. Apart from this, some hospitals also have units inside.
